Fan favourite vigilante Darkwing Duck is set to return to screens, the character getting a full-hour long crossover special in the upcoming return of the third season of Disney XD’s “DuckTales” reboot.
One of the new episodes of the season will be this extended adventure featuring ordinary suburban duck Drake Mallard who becomes Darkwing.
He has made only a few brief appearances thus far on the show, but this is going to be different according to co-executive producer, writer, and story editor Frank Angones who made the reveal.
A standalone “Darkwing Duck” series first ran from 1991 to 1992 for a total of ninety-one episodes with Jim Cummings voicing the character.
The new season returns this September with the Darkwing Duck event titled “Let’s Get Dangerous,” in reference to the classic theme tune, coming October 19th.
