“Daredevil” Planning For ‘At Least Three’ Seasons

A few weeks back, “Daredevil: Born Again” star Charlie Cox made an appearance at a convention and made a comment that caused some confusion.

Talking about the black Daredevil suit he was photographed filming in earlier this year for the show’s second season, he called it one of his favorite things about the show’s “final season”.

That led to fans being concerned that the show would not go beyond a second season, a reasonable concern considering the first season failed to make the Nielsen Streaming Top 10, despite heavy promotion.

Cox then later clarified his comments, he and co-star Vincent D’Onofrio saying that as far as they’re aware, Season 2 will not be the last.

Now, Nexus Point News has shared an update saying they’ve heard the show is set for “at least” three seasons and a potential filming window is already being lined up for the third season:

“Although season 2 is several months away, Marvel Studios has already begun prepping for a potential renewal and is aiming to begin production on season 3 in March 2026 and shoot through the Summer, similar to season 2’s production schedule. Cox and D’Onofrio’s contracts indicate that they have both signed on for three seasons. Following season 3’s release, their contracts for the series will be up and will need to be renegotiated pending the status and reception of the series.”

Marvel’s Brad Winderbaum previously indicated this was always supposed to be an ongoing show with the second season set to pick shortly after the events of the first season finale. That second season is expected to air around March next year.
