Acting veteran Tony Danza and renowned singer/actor Josh Groban are set to play father and son in Netflix’s upcoming ten-episode dramedy series “The Good Cop”.
In the show Danza plays Tony Sr., a disgraced former NYPD officer who never followed the rules. Groban is Tony Jr., an earnest and obsessively-honest NYPD detective who makes a point of always following the rules.
The pair become unofficial partners as Tony Sr. offers his overly cautious son some blunt street-wise advice on everything from handling suspects to handling women.
“Monk” creator Andy Breckman serves as showrunner and executive producer while Randy Zisk and Howard Klein also executive produce.
