Actor Danny DeVito recently took a lie detector test for Vanity Fair with his daughter Lucy asking him various questions.
One such question is tied to his role as the villain The Penguin in Tim Burton’s “Batman Returns” and how it compares to the more recent version of the character Colin Farrell played in Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” earlier this year.
Devito says: “I love Colin [Farrell]. He’s a terrific guy. My Penguin was better… Was that the truth? It most certainly was. In my opinion.”
Both Devito and Farrell previously worked together on the Tim Burton-directed live-action “Dumbo” for Disney.
Farrell revealed a few weeks ago Reeves is in the middle of planning “The Penguin” TV series for HBO Max, with Farrell expected to shoot that early next year.
