Danny Boyle To Direct “Methuselah”

Danny Boyle has been set to direct Michael B. Jordan in the film “Methuselah” at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Boyle has also enlisted his “Slumdog Millionaire” and “127 Hours” scribe Simon Beaufoy to rewrite the script which was originally going to be an adaptation of the Biblical story of the nearly 1,000 year old man.

Sources say that has changed, and the creative team is taking a new approach compared to previous drafts by Tony Gilroy and James Watkins. Tom Cruise was originally attached to star in the high priority project which is seen as a potential franchise launcher.

Jordan is also producing with Boyle, Alana Mayo, David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford.
