“Nightcrawler,” “Roman J. Israel, Esq.” and “Velvet Buzzsaw” helmer Dan Gilroy has penned the script and intends to direct the feature “Faster, Cheaper, Better”.
The project spans two decades as it explores the growing prevalence of automation and AI in the American workforce.
The story unfolds from multiple character POV’s including a union foreman, a young entrepreneur, an indoor farm executive, and a tech billionaire – all of whom find their lives thrown into chaos.
A production start date has not been set but Gilroy expects it to be his next feature and he’s reportedly in the midst of casting. No studio is presently attached.
