Matt Damon and Robert Downey Jr. are reportedly in talks to join Cillian Murphy in Christopher Nolan’s next film “Oppenheimer” at Universal Pictures.
As previously reported Emily Blunt is also in talks to join the cast as well for the movie which revolves around J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist who ran the Manhattan Project which led to the invention of the atomic bomb.
Murphy will play Oppenheimer, but specifics of whom the others will be playing are under wraps. Nolan is writing and directing the film which is based on Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin’s novel “American Prometheus”.
Nolan, Emma Thomas and Charles Roven will produce and shooting aims to begin early next year for a July 21st 2023 release.
