Netflix has released the first trailer for “The Eddy,” the new music-themed drama series that hails from “La La Land” and “First Man” director Damien Chazelle and will premiere on Netflix on May 8th.
The story is set in contemporary multicultural Paris and revolves around a club, its owner, the house band and the volatile city that surrounds them. Jack Thorne (“The Aeronauts,” “Wonder”) pens the project which Chazelle executive produces and directs the first two episodes of.
“Moonlight” and “The Knick” breakout Andre Holland portrays club owner Elliot Udo and is joined by actors Joanna Kulig (“Cold War”), Tahar Rahim (“A Prophet”), Melissa George (“Alias”), Leila Bekhti (“The Source”) and Amandla Stenberg (“The Hate U Give”).
