Disney has announced that their next big D23 convention is going bigger and longer, and is dropping the ‘Expo’ from its name.
Now titled “D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event,” festivities will begin with a special D23 Day at Angel Stadium on August 4th for a Mets vs. Angels game. Next there’s an August 8th celebration at Disneyland and the parks will remain open to the public.
Then comes the event itself which will take place from August 9th-11th 2024. In the day, shopping, exhibits, panels, and presentations will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center.
In the evenings, marquee shows will take place at the Honda Center with its bigger capacity. These panels will involve presentations covering all things Disney, including “Star Wars,” Marvel, Pixar, Disney and National Geographic.
Tickets for D23 will go on sale in Spring 2024, with ticketing options to be announced later. Accommodations for the event are available to book via the official site.
Further details on the events will arrive early next year.
