“The Witcher” game franchise creators CD Projekt Red has confirmed that gamers who purchase the Xbox One version of the highly-anticipated “Cyberpunk 2077” will receive the Xbox Series X upgrade for free when it becomes available.
Many games are expected to take advantage of Microsoft’s just announced ‘Smart Delivery’ system which “guarantees you’re playing the best version of your game” for whatever console you’re playing it on. This means you can play the current and next-generation versions of a title for only the price of one game.
Smart Delivery will be available on all exclusive Xbox Game Studios titles, including the upcoming “Halo Infinite,” along with being made available for all developers and publishers who can “choose to use it for titles that will release on Xbox One first and come to the Xbox Series X later.”
“Cyberpunk 2077” is an open-world RPG which will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 17th.
