“Cyberpunk 2077” Delayed Three More Weeks

Polish video game developer CD Projekt Red has announced that the long awaited release of “Cyberpunk 2077,” the biggest game release of this year, will be awaited just a little longer.

The title’s release date has been pushed back by three weeks and will now hit December 10th rather than November 19th. The move gets it out of the way of the launch of both the new PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles in the second week of November.

Indeed it’s the fact that the game is being made for so many platforms that is part of the reason for this last minute delay. In a tweet today, the developer says:

“The biggest challenge for us right now is shipping the game on current-gen, next-gen and PC at the same time, which requires us to prepare and test 9 versions of it. Since Cyberpunk 2077 evolved towards almost being a next-gen title somewhere along the way, we need to make sure everything works well and every version runs smoothly.”

“Cyberpunk 2077” is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and Stadia.
