The CW has released the full trailer for Christina M. Kim and Greg Berlanti’s reboot of the iconic 1970s martial arts drama “Kung Fu” which starred the late David Carradine.
Set to premiere on Wednesday April 7th, Olivia Liang stars as Nicky Chen – a Chinese-American woman in a quarter-life crisis causing her to drop out of college and go on a life-changing journey to an isolated monastery in China.
When she returns, she finds her hometown overrun with crime and corruption and uses her martial arts skills and Shaolin values to protect her community and bring criminals to justice – including her mentor’s assassin. Tzi Ma, Kheng Hua Tan, Gwendoline Yeo, Gavin Stenhouse, Eddie Liu and Ludi Lin co-star.
