The CW has announced that four of its series – the long-running “The 100” and newcomers “All America,” “Roswell, New Mexico” and “In the Dark,” have scored renewals.
The announcement means that, in a first for the network and a rarity in television, all five of their first-year shows have been picked up for a second season. The other two are “Charmed” and “Legacies”.
The renewal of “The 100” for a seventh season is a welcome surprise as the show’s sixth season has yet to air and is currently slated to premiere on April 30th. The new season will see the characters descending to a new planet after being frozen in stasis pods on a spaceship for decades, after escaping an uninhabitable Earth.
The CW previously gave early renewals to all the rest of its line-up including the final seasons of “Supernatural” and “Arrow” along with “Riverdale,” “Dynasty,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl,” “Legends of Tomorrow,” and “Black Lightning”.
