68-year-old “CSI: Vegas” actor William Petersen was reportedly briefly hospitalized on Friday after feeling unwell on the set of the sequel series.

The actor’s rep says the visit was taken as a “precautionary measure” as he reportedly has been exhausted from working long hours non-stop on the set of the show for the past twelve weeks.

Petersen is now out of the hospital and is recovering. Petersen is reprising his role as Gil Grissom in this follow-up to the long-running “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”.

Also back are Jorja Fox as Sara Sidle, Wallace Langham as David Hodges and Paul Guilfoyle guest-starring as Jim Brass. Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez and Mandeep Dhillon also star.

“CSI: Vegas” is scheduled to premiere on October 6th.
