Oscar-winner Russell Crowe is re-teaming with the youngest Hemsworth brother – Liam Hemsworth – for the action-thriller feature “Land of Bad”.

Crowe will play Reaper, an Air Force drone pilot supporting a Delta Force special ops mission in the South Philippines. When it all goes wrong, he has two days to remedy what has devolved into a wild rescue operation.

Hemsworth will play the newbie air controller thrust into the middle of a high-stakes extraction that involves no weapons and no communication other than the drone above.

“The Signal” and “Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin” duo David Frigerio and Will Eubank are writing and Eubank, who also helmed the Kristen Stewart-led “Underwater,” is directing the film which is due to start shooting in September in Australia. Eubank, David Frigerio, Adam Beasley and Michael Jefferson produce.

Crowe is currently in post-production on his second directorial feature “Poker Face” which he stars in alongside Liam who is currently filming Susannah Grant’s “Lonely Planet”.

Crowe will also appear on screen this Summer opposite Liam’s two older brothers Chris and Luke in Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Love and Thunder”.
