FOX

Bryan Cranston has confirmed that he’s working on a script for a revival of the FOX family comedy “Malcolm in the Middle”.

Appearing as a guest on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live series, he was asked by a fan about the odds of a “Malcolm in the Middle” revival and if there was truth to the rumors that he’s penned a script for the series.

Cranston answered: “Yes, I would say that on a scale of 1-10, I’d say an 8 that we’ll do a reunion, movie or show or something, and yes we have been working on concepts of story, plots and things like that.”

The original series ran from 2000 to 2006 and followed a dysfunctional lower-middle-class family and included Frankie Muniz in the lead role as child prodigy Malcolm.

It also starred Jane Kaczmarek and Cranston as Malcolm’s parents while Christopher Kennedy Masterson, Justin Berfield, and Erik Per Sullivan played Malcolm’s brothers.

Cranston earned three Emmy nominations for his role as Hal in the show which ran for seven seasons and 151 episodes.

Muniz has been teasing a reunion for some time, suggesting something has been happening, and said he “would be down 100 percent” for it.
