Cox Spotted On “Spider-Man” Set?

Cox Spotted On Spider Man Set
Netflix

A month ago came a rumor that British actor Charlie Cox might be reprising his role of Matt Murdock/Daredevil from Netflix’s “Daredevil” series in Marvel Studios and Sony’s “Spider-Man 3”.

Now, ComicBook.com reports that the 38-year-old actor has allegedly been spotted on the set of the production which is currently shooting, and may have already completed filming his role.

Reports of his possible casting came on the heels of reports about how numerous cast members from the four pre-MCU “Spider-Man” films at Sony were also onboard to reprise their roles.

Cox’s “Daredevil” was the first Marvel Cinematic Universe series on Netflix and arguably the one that had the most explicit links to the MCU films even if it was only limited to a few references to events of “The Avengers”.

The show was cancelled over two years ago along with all the other Marvel series at Netflix, and in recent months Marvel has started to get back the rights to the characters allowing them to be used again.

Indeed earlier this week Marvel’s Kevin Feige was asked by THR about the possibility of those characters returning and responded that he was open to the idea:

“Everything is on the board. That’s one of the fun things about the comics is that characters would appear and disappear and come and go. All of it is inspiration for the future. There are some great characters and actors from those shows.”

Tom Holland returns in the new film alongside Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and regulars like Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned. The new “Spider-Man” is scheduled to debut on December 17th.
