NBCUniversal

Actor Corbin Bernsen is set to reprise his role of lawyer Arnold Becker from the original NBC “L.A. Law” series for its upcoming revival pilot on ABC.

The new take is dubbed a re-envisioning of the original featuring familiar characters working alongside new ones on the hot button issues of the day.

In the new take former lothario Arnold Becker hasn’t changed since the 1980s, but the world has and the now sixtysomething struggles with a rapidly-shifting sexual and political landscape.

Bernsen joins previously announced returning cast member Blair Underwood. Bernsen appeared in all eight seasons of the original.

Marc Guggenheim and Ubah Mohamed are writing and Anthony Hemingway will direct the pilot with all executive producing along with Underwood, Dayna Bochco and Jesse Bochco.
