Three cable TV series have just announced renewals with two of them also confirmed to be finishing up next year.
First up, Canadian sci-fi drama “Continuum” will end its run next year with a six-episode fourth and final season. The series has been renewed by both Canada’s Showtime and Syfy.
Next up, FXX has ordered a seventh and final season of its hyper-competitive fantasy football league comedy “The League”. The series wrapped its sixth season last month.
Finally, TNT has renewed its long-running procedural dramedy “Rizzoli and Isles” for a sixth season. Said season will be the show’s longest yet at eighteen episodes.
‘Rizzoli’ remains the second-most-watched show in TNT history behind “The Closer” and one of basic cable’s top five series every year.
