ABC’s “Roseanne” revival spin-off “The Conners” has been officially renewed for a second season. Despite the controversy surrounding the spinoff, it remains the network’s highest-rated new show with roughly 9.5 million viewers per episode.
That’s not the only renewal order handed out recently though. The comedy “Schitt’s Creek” has been renewed for a sixth and final season to air on CBC and Pop in 2020. Co-stars and producers Daniel and Eugene Levy say they have been “given the time and creative freedom to tell this story in its totality.” The sixth and final season will consist of fourteen episodes.
HBO has renewed its critically praised New York-set marijuana dealer comedy series “High Maintenance” for a fourth season. Ben Sinclair returns as the lead star for the new batch of episodes.
Finally, Tim Roth will return for the just-renewed third and final season of Sky and Amazon original drama “Tin Star”. Genevieve O’Reilly and Abigail Lawrie also return in the final chapter of the story created by Rowan Joffe. The new season will see the Worth family return to the U.K. to confront their history and will run six episodes, shorter than earlier outings.
