“Luke Cage” actor Mike Colter and “Daredevil” baddie Vincent D’Onofrio both attended the Ottawa Comic-Con recently, the pair coming together for an interview with the event’s official YouTube Channel.
Colter has been rumored to appear in the second season of “Daredevil: Born Again,” reprising his role as Luke Cage who will presumably face off against Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin.
However Colter’s involvement has yet to be confirmed. The closest thing we’ve had to such a confirmation to date is that the actor will appear on a “Daredevil: Born Again” panel at New York Comic Con next month.
In the new interview, both were asked about how happy would they be if Colter returned on “Daredevil: Born Again”. D’Onofrio said: “Very happy. If he came back, if he was on our show, I would be very happy.” Colter added: “I’d be as happy as the fans, and that’s pretty happy. If the fans are happy, then I’m happy.”
Colter was then asked how he would approach filming a scene with D’Onofrio’s Kingpin to which he said:
“We haven’t had a scene… The thing about it is – this is Vincent. But when Vincent comes on set, he’s going to be the character, and then it’s going to be weird, because it’s not him anymore, he goes somewhere else and then it’s going to be scary. So I’m kind of interested in seeing him in character, being across from him, because he’s going to be a different person… I’m probably going to be intimidated, just like everyone else. It’s like, ‘Oh, s—, I’m doing a scene with Vincent today.”
Filming on the second season wrapped back in July. While Colter was reportedly in New York during some of the filming, he was not photographed on set so for now his potential appearance in the new run remains a rumor.
