Paul Downs Colaizzo (“Brittany Runs a Marathon”) is reportedly in talks to direct and rewrite the “Harbinger” comic adaptation at Paramount Pictures. Neal Moritz, Toby Jaffe and Dan Mintz are producing.
Based on the Valiant comic, the story follows a group of teens with superpowers who go up against the corporation that tried to exploit their talents.
If he signs on, he will replace filmmaker Wes Ball (“The Maze Runner”) who was originally attached but forced to step down to focus on the next “Planet of the Apes” feature at Disney.
That movie is deep in pre-production with news this week (via Justin Kroll) that the studio is very happy with Ball’s script and is now seeking a leading star.
