With just three members judging each of its competition juries, this year’s Sundance Film Festival saw a sweep for a change with crowd-pleaser “CODA” taking the awards for Grand Jury – U.S. Dramatic, Audience Award – U.S. Dramatic, Directing – U.S. Dramatic and an award for its ensemble cast.

The film, about a young woman who is the sole person who can hear in her deaf family, wasn’t the only winner of multiple top prizes.

“Hive” took the same three main honors (Grand Jury, Audience, Directing) for the ‘World Dramatic’ section, while “Summer Of Soul” won Grand Jury and Audience in the U.S. Documentary section. In the ‘World Documentary’ section “Flee” took Grand Jury” while “Writing With Fire” took the audience award.

Also winning were Clifton Collins Jr. who took best actor for his performance in “Jockey” while “Cryptozoo” and “Ma Belle, My Beauty” won the NEXT section awards.

Other winners included “Users,” Sabaya,” “All Light, Everywhere,” “Cusp,” “On the Count of Three,” “President,” “Homeroom,” “Luzzu,” and “One for the Road” in either directing, writing or editing categories.
