Universal Pictures has released two new one-sheets today for two of their thrillers opening early next year that promise something interesting in both cases.
The first is for Elizabeth Banks’ “Cocaine Bear”, arriving on February 24th. Boasting the tagline “Get in line,” the one-sheet is a dark look for a frankly preposterous but true story-inspired tale set in the mid-1980s.
When a drug runner’s plane crashes in the middle of the Georgia woods, a large batch of cocaine goes missing after being eaten by a black bear. In the film, an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists, and teens converge on the location.
The film boasts a pretty stellar cast, including Keri Russell, Margo Martindale, Ray Liotta, Alden Ehrenreich, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Kristofer Hivju.
Also out today is the one-sheet for M. Night Shyamalan’s forthcoming “Knock at the Cabin”, which adapts Paul Tremblay’s “The Cabin at the End of the World”.
Opening three weeks earlier on February 3rd, the story sees a young girl and her parents taken hostage in their remote cabin getaway by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse.
With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost. Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Rupert Grint, Ben Aldridge and Nikki Amuka-Bird star.
