Canceled after four seasons at ABC and seemingly near death, Lionsgate Television’s “Nashville” TV series may be resurrected from the dead – over at CMT.
Lionsgate Television remained steadfast in its pursuit of a fifth season of the country music drama series with the likes of Hulu, Lifetime, Bravo and E! all being mentioned as potential new homes for the abruptly axed series.
A formal announcement could come as early as Wednesday during the CMT Awards, the only issue right now seems to be stacking rights with a number of different options on the table with Hulu likely playing a part.
Producers are also reportedly looking for a full 22-episode order, with the entire cast having long-term deals to remain on board.
