Glenn Close, Naomie Harris and Awkwafina are set to join Mahershala Ali in the sci-fi drama “Swan Song” at the Apple TV+ service.
The story is set in the near future and explores how far someone will go, and how much they’ll sacrifice, to make a happier life for the people they love.
Awkwafina plays Kate, a close friend and confidant to Ali’s Cameron in the film. Close plays a scientist named Dr. Scott, while Harris plays Cameron’s wife Poppy.
Benjamin Cleary will write and direct the project which begins shooting in the spring and will receive a theatrical release in addition to streaming on Apple TV+.
