Paramount+ has premiered a first look clip from the fourth season of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” which will air sometime next year.

In the clip, Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) leads the U.S.S. Enterprise into a storm to rescue a ship, only for the crew to become stranded themselves without power. They soon attempt a landing on a nearby M class planet.

Also out is a featurette on the making of the costumes on the third season. All were shown as part of the “Star Trek” panel at New York Comic Con today.

Stars Ethan Peck, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia and Martin Quinn, along with co-showrunners and executive producers Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers and executive producer Alex Kurtzman were on hand for the panel.

As previously reported, the new season will include a puppet episode with work by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.

The fourth season was filmed between March and August this year with the cast going on a break and about to begin shooting the fifth and final season which is expected to air in 2027.
