Orion Pictures has released the first clip from “Bill and Ted Face the Music,” this one introducing comedian Kristen Schaal as Kelly, daughter of the pair’s previous time travelling mentor Rufus (the late George Carlin).
In the film the duo are long past their days as time-traveling teenagers and now weighed down by middle age and the responsibilities of family. With the fabric of time and space tearing around them, a visitor from the future warns our heroes that only their song can save life as we know it.
In the clip, Kelly drops in to take the boys into the future to address a “potentially a very serious problem”. At the same time their daughters Billie (Brigette Lundy-Paine) and Thea (Samara Weaving) watch on in concern, and the clip shows the girls’ personalities are much like their dads.
“Bill and Ted Face the Music” will launch in theaters and VOD on August 28th. Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has unveiled its plans of reopening select locations beginning Friday, August 21st and will hold free “Bill & Ted Face the Music” screenings on August 26th – two days ahead of the film’s wide release.
