It looks like Clint Eastwood, who turns 93 this Summer, is ready to retire.
DiscussingFilm is reporting that Eastwood’s next directorial effort, currently titled “Juror #2,” is being internally billed at Warner Bros. Pictures as his “final film”.
The report indicates Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette are rumored to be starring in the film, which follows one jury member in a murder trial who suspects he may have had some part in the victim’s death.
He is caught in a moral conundrum of whether to use his secret to sway the jury away and protect himself or turn himself over to the justice system he is participating in.
The outlet advises that whilst there is still a small chance that Eastwood decides to tackle another feature after, the current plan is for him to retire completely after the creation of this film.
Warners has had a 50-year partnership with Eastwood, and current Warner Bros. Discovery chief David Zaslav was reportedly not pleased with the studio greenlighting Eastwood’s last film “Cry Macho”.
In his time, Eastwood has directed some iconic movies, including “Unforgiven,” “Gran Torino,” “The Outlaw Josey Wales” and “Mystic River” to name just a few.
