Clifford The Big Red Dog Set For November
Paramount Pictures

Paramount Pictures has changed their minds and moved the anticipated kids film “Clifford the Big Red Dog” back to 2021.

The movie will now score a day-and-date release on November 10th both in cinemas and on the Paramount+ service. The movie will be the only title opening nationwide that weekend.

Darby Camp, Jack Whitehall, John Cleese and Tony Hale star in this adaptation of Norman Bridwell’s beloved children’s book series about a 25-foot-tall red dog and his young owner.

In July, Paramount pulled “Clifford” from a September release date amid concerns over the delta variant. Since then the film screened at CinemaCon to a good reception.

Then Paramount saw a major changing of the guard as film chief Jim Gianopulos exited the studio and Brian Robbins was installed as CEO. Robbins pushed for a theatrical component versus a streaming-only debut on Paramount+ and ViacomCBS chief Bob Bakish supported that stance.
