“Clayface” Prop Answers DCU Batman Question

Warner Bros. Television

Though filming hasn’t started yet, production is gearing up on the “Clayface” movie in Liverpool in the UK where it appears one set photo has some convinced it definitively ends speculation about the possibility of Robert Pattinson’s Batman being in the new DCU.

Posted on X, the photos showcase a police car for the Gotham Police Department, one with a design very different from the GPD cars seen in 2022’s “The Batman”.

The Pattinson film used vehicles with stacked blue logos and multiple stripes on what are old-fashioned vehicles that look like something out of the 1980s in terms of design.

This one, by contrast, is entirely black and white with a slightly more modern (albeit still dated) appearance, with smoother lines and a more rounded and aggressive front.

Mike Flanagan wrote the script for the body horror thriller about the Batman villain known for his ability to shapeshift.

Boasting a budget in the mid-$40 million range, the story follows an ascending actor (Tom Rhys Harries) whose face is disfigured by a gangster. He turns to a fringe scientist for help.

“Speak No Evil” director James Watkins helms the film which is slated to open September 11th 2026.
