Following their delay of M. Night Shyamalan’s high testing “Remain” by four months into early 2027, Warner Bros. Pictures has made some further shifts to its release schedule.

The studio has reportedly moved up its “Practical Magic” sequel by one week, from September 18th to September 11th. Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing reprise their roles from the 1998 original.

Susanne Bier directs the film from a screenplay by Akiva Goldman and Georgia Prichett based on Alice Hoffman’s novel “The Book of Magic”. Joey King, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña and Solly McLeod also star.

The studio has also shifted DC Studios’ “Clayface” film – moving that out of the September 11th slot and now releasing it on October 23rd.

Warners had been holding that new date for an ‘untitled event pic’ and this now will fit that bill – making the James Watkins-directed feature a Halloween event film.

The movie is going up against an untitled A24 movie, an untitled Amazon MGM Studios movie, and Guy Ritchie’s “Wife & Dog”.
