Production on the USA Network and Syfy series “Chucky,” a continuation of the “Child’s Play” film franchise, has been moved to 2021 as a result of the pandemic production shutdown.
The plan was originally to film the series this Fall in Toronto but, due to COVID delays, this will now happen in the new year. Producers still hope to deliver the series to air sometime in 2021.
Meanwhile Netflix is gearing up for production on two of its series. First up, they will resume production on the final two episodes of the fifth season of “Lucifer” on Thursday, September 25th. Once those two episodes have been shot, producers are reportedly planning to immediately start shooting the show’s sixth and final season.
The other is the second season of Joe Hill’s hit supernatural drama series “Locke & Key”. That series is officially set to begin filming later this month with cast and crew scheduled to return to Cinespace Film Studios in Toronto on Monday, September 21st for a six month shoot.
