Christy Hall Adapts Stephen King’s “Tom Gordon”

Christy Hall, the co-creator of Netflix’s “I Am Not Okay With This,” has been hired to pen a film adaptation of Stephen King’s 1999 novel “The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon” for Village Roadshow Pictures.

The story follows 12-year-old Trisha McFarland who strays from the path while she and her recently divorced mother and brother take a hike along a branch of the Appalachian Trail.

Lost for days with only her portable radio for comfort, she fantasises the titular Boston Red Sox relief pitcher will save her. Something dangerous may also be tracking Trisha through the dark woods, something very hungry.

Jon Berg is producing the project alongside Roy Lee, Christine Romero and Ryan Silbert.
