Chris Rock will become the first comedian to perform live on Netflix. The streamer is experimenting with live streaming technology, and Rock’s live performance will be the first person to test it out.
The project will mark Rock’s second Netflix special after Tamborine in 2018, though he did appear at the Netflix is a Joke festival earlier this year.
Rock, who has been out performing his Ego Death tour over the last few months, said during a London appearance he would discuss more about his Oscars experience on Netflix.
Robbie Praw, Netflix VP of Stand-up and Comedy Formats, says: “Chris Rock is one of the most iconic and important comedic voices of our generation, We’re thrilled the entire world will be able to experience a live Chris Rock comedy event and be a part of Netflix history.
