Chris Pine will join Ariana DeBose and Alan Tudyk in the animated film “Wish” for Walt Disney Animation Studios according to One Take News.

Set in the magical kingdom of Rosas, the story introduces Asha (DeBose) – a sharp-witted optimist who deeply cares about her community. She turns to the sky in a moment of need and makes a wish, her plea is answered by a cosmic force – a tiny ball of boundless energy named Star.

Together, they face the formidable foes to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen. Tudyk plays a pyjama-wearing goat named Valentino.

The project has been written by Jennifer Lee and will be directed by Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn. It features original songs by Julia Michaels and is produced by Peter Del Vecho and Juan Pablo Reyes.
