Chris McKay has been set to direct the sequel to “The LEGO Movie” for Warner Bros. Pictures.
McKay, an Emmy-winning frequent director of Cartoon Network’s “Robot Chicken,” was the animation co-director on the first film.
Michelle Morgan & Jared Stern are writing a treatment for the next installment which will be a straight sequel.
McKay succeeds the first film’s helmers Phil Lord & Chris Miller who remain attached to produce.
