Sky has announced that its HBO co-production “Chernobyl” has become the biggest BAFTA-winning series in history.
The nuclear disaster mini-series scored nine awards across the BAFTA TV Awards and BAFTA TV Craft Awards, including best mini-series and best actor for Jared Harris.
Those were in addition to seven prizes it won at the BAFTA TV Craft Awards earlier this month where Johan Renck was named best director. The series has picked-up over 60 awards across the world to date, including two Golden Globes and ten Primetime Emmys.
Other BAFTA TV winners earlier today included Netflix’s “End of the F—ing World” which won for best drama series and best supporting actress, while “Stath Lets Flats” won for best scripted comedy series. “Elizabeth is Missing,” “Giri/Haji,” “The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan” and “When They See Us” all took honors.
All episodes of “Chernobyl” are available to watch on demand for all Sky customers and on streaming service NOW TV.
