Appearing at Marvel Studios’ showcase at D23 Expo over the weekend, actor Charlie Cox gave various interviews about the upcoming return of his red-horned vigilante in Marvel’s “Daredevil: Born Again” series.
One of those interviews was with THR and Cox says he has nothing but love for the fans of the show as he feels they and the ‘Save Daredevil’ campaign are partially responsible for the character’s resurrection.
In fact, he revealed his own belief of ever returning to the role faltered, but those fans didn’t give up. He tells the outlet:
“I feel like I owe them a huge thank you. You know, the ‘Save Daredevil’ campaign, they campaigned so hard for this, and there were times where I would meet some of them when they came to see a play that I was doing in New York, or my friends who would follow them online would tell me stuff that they’re trying to do and raise awareness. I would be there thinking, ‘Guys, I think it’s over. I think you need – it’s so nice, but I think we need to give up, and they didn’t, and here we are.”
“Daredevil: Born Again” will consist of eighteen episodes and will stream on Disney+ in the spring of 2024.
