CBS and 20th Century Fox TV are in early talks for a potential spinoff to its soon-to-end hit series “How I Met Your Mother”.
The spinoff would not include any original ‘Mother’ characters and would follow a similar set of friends, potentially glimpsed in the ‘Mother’ finale. MacLaren’s Pub may be reused as a hangout for this new batch as well.
The twist this time is that it’s a woman who is on a similar quest to find the father of her children.
Co-creators and executive producers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas and “Up All Night” creator Emily Spivey are behind this new take which they would co-write and executive produce.
