CBS Sets “NCIS: Sydney” U.S. Premiere

Paramount+

With the network schedules looking very lean due to the strikes, and all of CBS’s scripted series delayed, the company is looking to its Paramount Global division to plug the holes in its Fall slate.

As a result, “NCIS: Sydney,” the first international spinoff for the franchise which was commissioned last year by Paramount+ Australia and Network 10, is now being put in the spotlight on the major U.S. network.

The series will launch exclusively on the Australian version of Paramount+ on Friday, November 10th. The show will then premiere on U.S. network CBS three days later on Monday, November 13th at 10pm.

A weekly rollout of new episodes will continue on both from those dates. Repeats of the main “NCIS” will take the 9pm slot, whilst repeats of “NCIS: Hawai’i” will take the 10pm slot from late September up until the week “NCIS: Sydney” debuts.

In the series, international tensions rise in the Indo-Pacific region. The action will follow the eclectic team of U.S. NCIS Agents and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) who are grafted into a multi-national taskforce to keep naval crimes in check in the most contested patch of ocean on the planet.

The show will be led by Olivia Swann, who played Astra Logue over several seasons of The CW’s “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”, as team leader NCIS Special Agent Michelle Mackey.

“Home and Away” alum Todd Lasance plays her AFP counterpart Sergeant Jim ‘JD’ Dempsey. Sean Sagar, Tuuli Narkle, Mavournee Hazel and William McInnes co-star.
