Anthony Hopkins is teaming with “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Devotion” star Glen Powell on ZQ Entertainment and Raimi Productions’ character-driven thriller feature “Locked”. David Yarovesky is set to direct.
A remake of the Argentinian action thriller “4X4,” it follows a thief who breaks into a luxury SUV, only to realize that he’s stumbled into a complex and deadly trap set by a mysterious figure. Michael Arlen Ross wrote the script and Sam Raimi will produce.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
Anne Charrie, Eriq Ebanouey, Laika Blanc Francard, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi and Romain Levi have all been cast as series regulars alongside Norman Reedus and Clemence Posey in “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” spin-off series.
In the new series, Daryl (Reedus) washes ashore in France and struggles to piece together how he got there and why. This tracks his journey and the connections he forms along the way that complicate his ultimate plan. The series debuts later in 2023.
Super Toys
Sacha Baron Cohen and Keke Palmer are set to star in writer/director David O. Russell’s new film “Super Toys” for and Atlas Entertainment and Dreamcrew Entertainment. Charles Roven and Matthew Budman produce.
Baron Cohen and Palmer play 1970s toy sales reps on a life-and-death mission to save themselves, their marriage and their live-wire twelve-year-old daughter while on the road in Middle America.
Daniela Forever
Henry Golding is set to star in Spanish filmmaker Nacho Vigalondo’s sci-fi romance “Daniela Forever” which shoots in Madrid this Spring.
Golding plays a man struggling to come to terms with the sudden death of his girlfriend in an accident six months prior. He signs up for a sleep trial that allows him to reconstruct his life with her through lucid dreaming.
Back in Action
Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts and Rylan Jackson will join Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, Kyle Chandler and Glenn Close in the action-comedy “Back in Action” at Netflix.
Details as to the storyline and characters are under wraps for what will be Diaz’s first film since 2014. Seth Gordon is directing from his script written with Brendan O’Brien.
