Guy Pearce and Te Kohe Tuhaka have signed to star in Lee Tamahori’s “The Convert” to shoot in September. Tamahori wrote the script with Shane Danielson from a story by Michael Bennet.

Pearce plays a preacher who arrives at a British settlement in 1830s New Zealand where his violent past is drawn into question and his faith is put to the test when he’s caught in the middle of a war between Maori tribes. [Source: Screen Daily]

The Trainer
Lenny Kravitz, Gus Van Sant, Beverly D’Angelo, Colleen Camp and Gavin Rossdale have signed on to star alongside Vito Schnabel in the Tony Kaye-directed dark comedy “The Trainer” which Schnabel and Jeff Solomon penned.

Currently in production, the story unfolds over eight days of sleep-deprived chaos and follows a down-on-his-luck fitness expert living with his mother in Los Angeles who takes a maniacal swing at fame and fortune. Mayfair Witches
Jack Huston has scored the role of the shape-shifting spirit Lasher in AMC’s television series adaptation of Anne Rice’s “Lives of the Mayfair Witches” book trilogy.

Alexandra Daddario, Harry Hamlin and Tongayi Chirisa star while Esta Spalding will serve as a writer and executive producer alongside Michelle Ashford. Filming is underway in New Orleans. [Source: Collider]

Maybe I Do
Diane Keaton, Susan Sarandon, Richard Gere, William H. Macy, Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey are set to star in the Michael Jacobs-directed multi-generational romantic comedy “Maybe I Do”.
