Breeders
Olivia Cooke (“Slow Horses,” “Bates Motel”) is set to star in the Lionsgate social horror-thriller feature “Breeders” which will mark the feature directorial debut of Kelsey Bollig.
“Anchorman” and “Don’t Look Up” director helped originate the project and is producing along with Todd Schulman. Brian Steele will pen the script. Story details are under wraps but the film is said to be in the vein of Hulu’s “Fresh”. [Source: THR]
Late Night with the Devil
David Dastmalchian (“Dune,” “The Suicide Squad”) is attached to star as the host of a 1970s late-night live talk show that goes horribly wrong in the Colin and Cameron Cairnes-directed indie film thriller “Late Night With the Devil”. The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
“Euphoria” actress Hunter Schafer has joined the prequel “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” at Lionsgate. Schafer will play Tigris Snow, cousin and advisor to Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth). Rachel Zegler co-stars in the film which will debut in theaters worldwide on November 17th 2023. [Source: THR]
Littlemouth
Dennis Quaid, Isabelle Fuhrman, David Thewlis, Josh Hutcherson and Kiera Allen will star in Jonathan Sobol’s sci-fi mystery “Littlemouth” which has begun production in the Cayman Islands.
The story is set in the present day follows a brilliant computer scientist (Fuhrman) who is recruited by a charismatic tech billionaire (Quaid) to work on a secret project that might just change humanity’s place in the universe forever, though it comes at great risk. [Source: Deadline]
Road Rage
“Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer” duo Michael Rooker and director John McNaughton are re-teaming for the grim vigilante film “Road Rage” which aims to be the first in a series.
