Babylon
Mexican actor Diego Calva will join Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt in Damien Chazelle’s new Golden Age of Hollywood drama “Babylon” at Paramount Pictures. Jovan Adepo and Li Jun Li also star in the film which shoots this Summer.

Set in the late 1920s, during the movie industry’s transition from silent films to talkies, the project tells of the rise and fall of multiple characters. Calva will play a Mexican man making his way up the Hollywood ladder, starting out as an assistant. [Source: THR]

The Bubble
Vir Das, Rob Delaney, Galen Hopper, Samson Kayo, Guz Khan, Nick Kocher, Ross Lee, Harry Trevaldwyn and Danielle Vitalis have joined the cast of Judd Apatow’s next directorial effort “The Bubble”.

The story follows a group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a film. Karen Gillan, Maria Bakalova, Iris Apatow, Fred Armisen, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, Leslie Mann, Pedro Pascal and Peter Serafinowicz lead the cast. [Source: Deadline]

Masters of the Air
Anthony Boyle (“Tolkien”) is set to co-star alongside Austin Butler and Calum Turner in the limited series “Masters of the Air” at Apple Studios, Playtone and Amblin Television. Boyle will play the lead role of Major Crosby.

Based on the book by Donald L. Miller, this follows the deeply personal story of American bomber boys in World War II who brought the war to Hitler’s doorstep. Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman are producing. [Source: Variety]

KIMI
Jacob Vargas, Byron Bowers and Jaime Camil will join Zoe Kravitz in the cast of Steven Soderbergh’s New Line Max Original feature “KIMI”. David Koepp penned the script and will produce with Michael Polaire but story details are under wraps. The film will premiere exclusively on HBO Max. [Source: Deadline]

Watcher
Maika Monroe (“It Follows”), Karl Glusman (“Love”) and Burn Gorman (“The Expanse”) have signed on to star in Chloe Okuno’s psychological thriller “Watcher” for Image Nation Abu Dhabi and Spooky Pictures. Shooting begins this month.

Monroe and Glusman play a young married couple who move into a new apartment in Bucharest just as a citywide panic is brewing over a possible serial killer on the loose. The wife becomes increasingly tormented by the belief she is being stalked by an unseen watcher in the adjacent building. [Source: THR]
