Bullet Train
Zazie Beetz (“Deadpool 2,” “Joker”) has rounded out the cast of the action-thriller “Bullet Train” starring Brad Pitt. Joey King, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry and Andrew Koji.

Based on Kotaro Isaka’s Japanese novel “Maria Beetle,” the film follows a group of assassin’s on a high speed train. David Leitch (“Hobbs & Shaw”) will direct and supervise the script by Zak Olkewicz. [Source: Deadline]

Dangerous
Scott Eastwood is set to lead David Hackl’s action-thriller “Dangerous” alongside Tyrese Gibson, Famke Janssen, Kevin Durand and Mel Gibson. Filming begins later this month in Canada.

Eastwood plays a reformed sociopath who, following the death of his brother, heads to a remote which soon falls under siege from a deadly gang of mercenaries. Forced to fend for himself, he discovers their role in his brother’s demise and sets off on a relentless quest for vengeance. [Source: THR]

“Scary Movie” star and former MTV VJ Simon Rex will star in “Red Rocket,” a secret dark comedy film that “The Florida Project” and “Tangerine” helmer Sean Baker has been shooting in Texas and wraps later this month. The film has employed industry standard safety protocols and Baker co-wrote the screenplay with Chris Bergoch. [Source: Variety]

Dear Evan Hansen
Stage actor Isaac Powell has joined the cast of the “Dear Evan Hansen” film at Universal Pictures in his first screen role. Powell will play high school jock Rhys in the adaptation of the six-time Tony winning Broadway musical, joining a cast that includes Ben Platt, Amy Adams, Julianne Moore, Amandla Stenberg and Danny Pino. Sacramento
Michael Cera, Maya Erskine and Michael Angarano are set to star in road trip movie “Sacramento” with Angarano also set to direct and co-write with Chris Smith. The project is due to shoot early next year.

The story will follow Rickey, an energetic and free-spirited young man who convinces Glenn, his long-time friend who has settled into domestic life, to go on an impromptu road trip from Los Angeles to Sacramento, bringing their past into question and their future into light. [Source: Deadline]
