Peter Capaldi (“Doctor Who”) and Jessica Raine (“Patrick Melrose”) have been cast as the leads in the six-part series “The Devil’s Hour” at Amazon Studios and Hartswood Films (“Sherlock,” “Dracula”).
Rising British writer Tom Moran pens the series about Lucy Chambers (Raine), a woman who wakes up every night at exactly 3:33am. Her eight-year-old son is withdrawn, she speaks to empty chairs and her house is haunted by the echoes of life.
When her name is inexplicably connected to a string of brutal murders in the area, the answers that have evaded her all these years will finally come into focus.
Capaldi plays a reclusive nomad, driven by a murderous obsession, who becomes the prime target of a police manhunt led by a compassionate detective (Nikesh Patel).
Meera Syal, Alex Ferns, Phil Dunster and Barbara Marten co-star in the series which is now filming in London and Farnborough Studios.
