Sideshow and Janus Films, the U.S. distribution pairing that released last year’s Oscar-winning Japanese film “Drive My Car,” have acquired North American rights to this year’s Cannes sensation “EO”.
Polish filmmaker Jerzy Skolimowski directed the Grand Jury Prize-winning film which explores modern Europe through the prism of a gray donkey who meets all sorts of people on his life’s path.
On the way he experiences joy and pain, as well as disasters and unexpected bliss – all without losing his beautiful innocence. Sandra Drzymalska, Lorenzo Zurzolo, Mateusz Kosciukiewicz and Isabelle Huppert star.
Sideshow and Janus Films are planning a Fall 2022 theatrical release.
