Celebrated Kiwi filmmaker Jane Campion (“The Piano,” “Bright Star”) is headed to the small screen as new details have been revealed for “Top of the Lake”, a six-hour mini-series she will be directing for See-Saw Films and the BBC reports Variety.
The story follows a New Zealand small-town detective brought in to solve the case of a twelve-year-old who gets pregnant and disappears.
Shooting kicks off in Queenstown, New Zealand in the second-quarter of next year. See-Saw is behind “The King’s Speech” which has caused buzz around various film festivals in recent days.
