Camilla Belle (“10,000 BC,” “When a Stranger Calls”) will star in the Portuguese-language drama “Adrift” for O2 Films and Universal International says The Hollywood Reporter.
Set in the 1980s, it centers on a 14-year-old girl who struggles with her life when she learns of the infidelities of her father (Vincent Cassel) while un¬dergoing her own sexual awakening.
Belle will play a young woman having an affair with the father. Heitor Dhalia penned and will direct the project scheduled for release next year.
Belle’s mother is from Brazil and the US-born actress speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish.
